Really great food and excellent service. We liked the new menu.
The Hot Mess is pure comfort food and very tasty! The Halibut was a good proportion of sizes, but a little dry. Very Asian fusion style not bad when that is what you expect. The service was very good, but I was the only diner at that time. It was 17:00 local time and I just flew in. I'd try it again, but the cure butter shouldn't be cooked over.
I enjoyed the crabcake eggs Benedict. I'd have another brunch at Sacks.
I ordered the prawn avocado sandwich (which was quite small accompanied by a plate load of French fries. I didn't notice if I could have substituted the fries for a side salad which I would have preferred but it certainly wasn't offered by the waiter. The sandwich was good but not exceptional. $16 for basically a small sandwich and plate load of fries is a bit steep. My friend ordered the rice bowl which she said was better than she expected.
