We used to come here for a meat fix or just to get off the farm once in a while, and they always remembered us. I mean, we aren't local nor do we look it, but the owner and the main waitress always remembered us and I liked that. Their food is sub-par, I know the owner just goes down to Price Chopper to get his supplies, but someone else is making it and it's ok. The veg burgers are pretty decent and slap some cheese on them and they pass pretty good. I don't know if they are still doing it or not, but they used to have dinners two nights a week- 3 items- beef, chicken or fish. They have outdoor seating in the summer and it's just fun to sit and watch the cars go by or the locals stare at you. Good stuff.
I think it is now called Woody's County Cafe. The pies are pretty good. The food is basic. I like the country atmosphere too. A much better breakfast spot than either TA's or Papa's in Walton.
Its not called cassies kitchen anymore. I forget its name but its location hasn't moved,. and everyone still calls it Cassies there. It has good service, reasonable prices, and great country atmosphere. Good for breakfasts and lunches, since it closes after 4 for 5 days out of the week.
