McQueens Tavern - Angle Park

McQueen 's Tavern offers comfortable food and a good selection of dishes. For those who enjoy a "Flotter" in Pokies, there is a common playroom. You order from the menu and help you get some hot vegetables and/or salads from the dining bar. Of course...serve You alcoholic drinks, but if you don't want them, table water is available. We were back several times, never disappointed.

Excellent lunch and really great staff and service. Will definitely go back and try other offers of the menu. We had steak sandwiches and chips and panko pits with chips and salads.

This restaurant is a fantastic choice for dining. It is wheelchair accessible and offers a traditional pub/club menu. The food is high quality but on the pricey side. The atmosphere is very cozy, making it a great place to unwind and enjoy a meal.

The breakfast at this restaurant is a great value with delicious food. The venue is warm and inviting, and a welcoming mug of hot tea is served.

It had been a while since visiting McQueens so, as we were going to a concert at the adjacent Community Centre, we went for the meal beforehand. We were not disappointed in any way. Two couples in advanced years taking advantage of coupons from EB.Choices...were made quickly, two slow cooked Lamb Shoulder, one Pork Cutlet and a Trio of Fish. After an inordinate wait we were advised by a very happy wait person that the Pork Cutlet involved a lengthy cooking process and our meals would be delivered a short time later. The ladies both made comment about the very generous serve of the Lamb Shoulder and then went all whimsy about flavour and tenderness. My mate looked at an extremely thick Pork cutlet, bone in, similar to a Rib Eye bone in beef, sitting on a bed of smooth, oh, so smooth mash, and a rich,tasty sauce. His first comment was about the amazing sauce and then the tenderness of the pork, My Trio of fish was a decent fillet of fish, five crumbed and deep fried Prawns and six pices of Salt and Pepper calamari, on a very large serve of good chips with Tartare sauce in a small bowl and an offering of salad leaves. We all commented on the extremely good food, flavour, good serving temperature, obviously straight from the servery, and presented with very excellent value. There is a hot vegetable and salad bar to supplement the plated offerings, roast spuds, cheesy mac, sprouts and garden salads of good quality. Even without a coupon, we will certainly be back!!
