It was a little cold but the waiters quickly put the heaters on for us! When our main meals came out were so amazed at the quality or our meals for it being a pub, the food was what you would expect at a high end eatery but without the massive cost and the portion size was more than sufficient! We left very satisfied and saying to one another how much we are looking forward to coming back again!
We had a lovely evening at Angle Vale Tavern. Staff were lovely and attentive. Came and offered us takeaway containers without us needing to even ask. We ordered the Monday special schnitzel board and it didn't disappoint. My husband and son are big eaters and we still left with 3 schnitzels in our containers. We easily could come here and share that board with our 2 younger kids and all leave full. The choice of toppings were great and everything was cooked to perfection. We didn't get a full platter shot I'm afraid but here is some of it misisng a couple of beef schnitzels.
Went here for my friends birthday after a recommendation from a work colleague and gotta admit, we definitely weren't disappointed. Friendly staff and good service, plus the day we where there they had live music. As for the food If you want to try a little bit of everything on the menu then I would recommend the Vale signature platter. The picture I've posted is of the brisket burger which was really good
Wasn't really looking forward to driving out so far to go to a family dinner. We were quite surprised at the variety of food on offer. It's not all deep fried and we could actually smell the char grill from outside. That made me hungry. The place was fairly clean and bright and the staff were quite friendly. One point I noticed the drinks fridges weren't full, yet the range of beers was pretty limited. Shitloads of ciders but no hoppy beers. Lion or Coopers, that's it. A few hoppy beers, even a few six packs of James Squire would have been a nice start.
We visited the tavern on a Saturday for lunch. It was busy but not noisy and well spaced tables. The food came out quickly and mostly all together for our party of five. Most of us had the $15 lunch specials with the usual selections of fish, snitzels, burgers and bangers mash. One had the mixed grill which was huge. All really generous food servings and most of us couldn't eat it all so take out containers were provided free of charge. Plenty of parking.
