Saunas off, hydromassage filters dirty, internal shower lights off, continuous condensation with drops falling on the beds at the bottom of the pool area... Nice, spacious, comfortable rooms. Cool decor. Purely. The staff speaks English and they are fine. Very close to the border with Italy 250m. Great starting point: Trieste 20 minutes by car. Slovenian beaches 15-20 minutes by car and it is cheaper by about 40-50% than for a hotel by the Adriatic Sea. The only downside is that there could be more variety at breakfast (no fresh vegetables, only pickled ones, a small selection and not very good quality of bread), but you can eat enough.

Although on a busy road we had a room at the back which was very quiet and clean. However we found the pillows were too big and uncomfortable. No kettle in the room as advertised in the photo, but a bottle of water. The breakfast was good, with a satisfactory choice (no cakes but with croissants). Big parking is available.

Large, neat and tidy rooms. Quiet at night so good to sleep. Breakfast could be better. Plenty of parking. Did not explore the casino as we were too tired for the night, but heard some bingo game was going on. Service: 3
