Blimpie - Ankeny

I really enjoy this place and visit frequently. I just wish they had a bit more staff.

I recently stopped by a Blimpie in Ankeny and was pleasantly surprised to discover that it's still operating, especially since all the ones in my hometown closed years ago. The meatball sandwich I ordered was good, but nothing extraordinary. On the other hand, my family really enjoyed their turkey sandwiches.

I visited this restaurant recently mostly for nostalgia, and it was just like I remembered! I had thought the Blimpie brand was gone after the company shut down a location in my hometown, but this place truly exceeded my expectations! It took me back to fifth grade, grabbing a sandwich before heading out to baseball practice. I can't tell you how wonderful it was to relive those memories while at this spot in Ankeny. It might sound a bit silly, but I'm so grateful for this place and for the amazing team that makes it such a great experience!

I had another amazing experience at Blimpie. The sandwiches are delicious, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. There are plenty of seating options, and the restaurant is very clean. The atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. I definitely plan to return to this fantastic place!
