The Taste of Time is without a doubt the most charming restaurant I have seen in old Guatemala. Its name is not deceiving: The Taste of Time has flavor, perhaps not in the literal sense of time (as I am not sure what time tastes like), but definitely in terms of tradition, classic dishes, and quality wine. Whether starting the day or ending it here, The Taste of Time is an excellent choice if you want to begin or finish your day on a delicious note. Even if you can't stay for lunch, it's worth popping in to see the unique decor and collection of artifacts that transport you back in time. The owners and staff clearly take great care in maintaining this place, making it a true gem for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The Taste of Time is also a great spot to purchase souvenirs, with a selection of cigars that will appeal to aficionados.
