It was so good we forgot to take photos until we were halfway through the meal haha! Definitely a hidden gem in Antipolo one should visit when in the area.
At first I was quite doubtful since it was my first time to be here, I have always been particular with food especially when it comes to pastas and pizzas. Once the food was served on our table, I surprisingly felt hungrier as I took my first bite. Their pizza had a tremendous flavor, it was quite different from the usual pizzas I'd taste, but I consider it as one of my favorite pizzas. Pasta? Well-cooked and flavorful, especially when it comes to pestos, in most Italian restaurants I have encountered all I would usually taste is bland oil and little bit of herbs but their pasta didn't disappoint. They proved me wrong because I always thought pestos are supposed to taste bland, and I'm thankful that they gave me a new experience. As for their rice meals, I ordered their beef tapa, and reasons why I'm happy with it because of how tender the beef is and how it's not too salty and even if it was garlic-ky it wasn't the type that was too much. I would highly recommend this place especially if you're highly into pizzas and pastas, it's a great place where you can lessen the need of breaking your budget, and the staff there is accommodating which we also loved about the restaurant. Please do visit their restaurant!
Everything we ordered here was great. The Capricciosa pizza is a must try. The food was served by the chef herself. It also came with free pumpkin soup and bread for appetizer.
Food: I went here with friends who love eating good food as much as I do. We heard a lot about the place and did some research about it before going, and boy, the other reviews and ratings did not fail us! il Ristorante Di Antonio offers a variety of Italian dishes from sandwiches to risottos, coffee and desserts, and staples pasta and pizza. As appetizers, we ordered their Quattro Formaggi and Prosciutto e Formaggio Blu Pizzas. The pizza are made fresh. I love it that it they are thin crust. For a quaint restaurant like theirs, you wouldn’t think that they would offer as much pasta dishes as they do! Me and my friends had a difficult time picking out what to order since they were all mouthwatering. Since we were a large group, we were able to order a lot and had a chance to taste many of their main dishes. We ordered: Fettuccine ai Funghi Linguine alla Marinara Penne alla Norma (this was my favoritr of all) Spaghetti di Strampelli Spaghetti alla Bolognese Carbonara di Ale Spaghetti alla Puttanesca Pasta serving is generous! Ordering it alone can fill one up. If you pair it with pizza the meal can be for two. Pasta cooked is al dente, and all the sauce is light and not overpowering. As if the pasta we ordered weren’t enough, we also tried some of their risotto dishes too: Risotto ai Funghi e Zucchine Risotto al Pollo e Spinachi Pollo al Marsala For dessert, we had Tiramisu, Tartufi al Cioccolato, and Panna Cotta. For me, the Tiramisu is the star of their desserts. Ambience: The restaurant’s feel is not imposing and unassuming. Keeping the place relatively small with a few tables, you can expect that your dining experience will be pleasant. We went here in the afternoon until dinner and it was lovely. Service: The owners of the restaurant are hands on in managing the place be it in the dining area or inside the kitchen, so you’re sure to have a smooth experience. Price: Best thing about the restaurant is the price. I couldn’t stress this more. As my friend said, “why would I spend hundreds in other Italian restaurants when I can have the same quality at a very reasonable price at Il Ristorante di Antonio?” We haven’t eaten in another Italian restaurant since we went here more than a month ago.
We were seven in our group. By sharing, we were able to taste 6 of the pasta dishes. All were excellent! But I particulaly liked the funghi (mushroom), followed by the Strampelli (clams). We also ordered two kinds of pizza, prosciutto and blue cheese, and four cheeses (I liked the prosciutto and blue cheese better). We couldn’t have enough of the authentic Italian food, so we ordered risotto, before dessert. We had mushroom and chicken, both were equally excellent, but i am partial to mushroom. Then we had dessert. We ordered all in the menu! #WhenInAntipolo don’t fail to visit #IlRistorateDiAntonio to savour authentic #Italian food.
