I usually do not write negative reviews, but De Mars was a big disappointment. I was looking for a quiet, beautiful place to celebrate my wedding anniversary. De Mars had been highly recommended by many of our friends who had visited about a year ago. However, our experience was very disappointing. The menus were dirty and torn, and the ambiance was ruined by loud music from a local radio station, which was not at all soothing or romantic. Being from Britain, I was excited to see sausage and mash on the menu. When I asked about the sausages, I was assured they were real sausages from a local supplier, not hotdogs or bratwurst. We ordered some British favorites, including fish and chips. Unfortunately, the sausages were terrible and much smaller than expected. The mash was fine, but the sausage was disappointing. The fish and chips were also disappointing, with a piece of broken carrot found instead of fish in one piece. The fish did not taste fresh, and the portion of chips was very small. We did not finish our meals as they were not enjoyable. The restaurant's decor was worn and the entrance felt strange, as if we were walking through the kitchen. The kitchen appeared clean, but the restroom was filthy, with urine on the floor, a missing toilet seat, and dirty sinks. I also discovered an air vent between the men's and women's restrooms. Overall, I would not recommend this place. It seems that the boss or owner has changed recently, as my friends' positive experiences from a year ago did not match our own.
We were looking for a unique place to eat in Antipolo for lunch and stumbled upon this restaurant nearby. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food, especially the fish and chips, lasagna, traditional steak, and choco lava cake. The portions were generous and could easily be shared by two people. While the prices were on the higher side, the quality of the food made it worth it. The atmosphere was simple yet peaceful, perfect for families and friends. Although they accept credit cards, it was not working on the day we visited, so make sure to bring cash just in case. We look forward to returning to try their breakfast menu.
Unsafe, what is to be expected, and looking for a place to eat along humulong autobahn, tired family somwhow. I wanted to eat here. and we were for a great surprise. the service, the brot, the pumpkin soup were only the first to act before they gave us one. served the most delicious meal we had in a long time. this place, its simple ambiente, with views of the marina valley and the subway manila was a pleasure to remember. we will try again, other elements on the menu
Unplanned joy ride to Antipolo. Unplanned early dinner to this place also. The place is simple, humble yet stylish. Because of its simplicity, we thought the food would be simple too. We ordered their 2 best seller main courses. Beef and Pork. It started with...complementaries: Malungay Soup, Salad Greens in Balsamic Dressing and Focaccia Bread with Balsamic and Tomato Salsa. We thought that it would be just simple. We are wrong!!! The food was served fine dining style! And the taste? Delicious!!! I'll definitely comeback. And not to forget, their Malungay Iced Tea is really good.
