168 Chinese - Apopka

I want to know if the management is new?Because the women who are there now, are the rudest, unhelpful bunch I 've EVER encountered. My 84 yr.young mother has been going there for year 's she absolutely loves this place until recently.Today was the icing on the cake.She always goes during the luncheon time which ends at 2:30.well due to the traffic she got inside the restaurant at 2:32 and asked ' ' I hope that I 'll still be able to get the luncheon price? They replied NO 2:30 is cut off.My mom was flabbergasted!!!!!! It is so sad that they have become the way they are. No MORE 168 SAD BUT TRUE!!!!!!!

I must say, this place is the closest to getting the same flavor and taste as the Chinese Restaurants in Chicago (I'm originally from Chicago). Other places in and around Apopka don't even come close. For example, they don't use frozen vegetables in their fried rice. At some places, the fried rice is kind of yellow in color...almost like a combo of Spanish rice and Chinese fried rice. Speaking of fired rice, the beef fried rice comes with a lot of meat. The beef egg foo young is tasty. The gravy is different but you can use the same gravy they use on the chicken broccoli, which is very similar to the gravy used in the egg foo young in Chicago. The staff is amazing as well. We never had any issues from that stand point. A great place all around.

If I could give this place 20 stars I would! I’ve been coming here for years as take out and the food is very very good.. tonight I did dine in and and as usual they did not disappoint. I am very choosey with Chinese food and where I dine and this is by far the best local spot.Great food reasonable prices clean and friendly! Thank you 168 ?

Hadn't been here in a long time and had the opportunity to pick up some takeout yesterday. The food here was always top notch and was looking forward to some great food. Ordered two dinner entrees with the added $5.00 option for soup, egg roll and dumpling. The food was such a disappointment! Only items with flavor was the dumplings and egg roll. My wonton soup had two wontons and just broth, nothing else. My husband's hot and spicy was bland and hardly no spice. Both entrees, Lo Mein and Chow Mein was so bland, I had to add seasonings to give it some taste. I waited there for the food and came straight home and food was barely warm. As mentioned earlier, your food was always great. Please bring back the former chef! I don't know if I ever dare to go back!
