Requinte do Rochao - Restaurante

We had an exciting experience in requinte do rochao, a cheap choice for those who came from paul da serra and finally a Levada spa like us. the personal was welcoming, although we arrived a minute before the kitchen, should be closed (about 4 a.m.),...and wait kindly for us to choose. all our selection of meals were excellent, and probably we could have chosen everything else and still be satisfied. the most outstanding was the local suppe, acorda, which was a perfect warmer after a somewhat cold tour outside. we then had pfeffersoße and pork paws and of course to start with bolo de caco. all are great. 5/5 experience, highly recommended!

Very beautiful location away from everything. playground for children. I had the mixed grill that was plentiful (6 different pieces, all very good with a take). good wine and very friendly staff

This is an excellent restaurant above calheta in the heart of the mountain. eating is typical in best quality and cooked according to local tradition. it's a must. we enjoyed the evening and recommend both for its kitchen and. the amazing location

The restaurant is lovely with pretty gardens and excellent service. The menu is varied and the slow pre ordered lamb dish was delicious as was the meat skewer and lovely home made trips. Great place but don’t try walking there from mansao macau if staying...there unless you want a heart attack. We went back a couple of times the second time by a five minute taxi the first time a heart attack generating an hour walk.

We visited this restaurant two years ago and had good memories. our second visit was just as good and the trip up is worth it. the bolo do caco garlic bread is very delicious. the espetada filet mignon was perfect and very delicate. the fried sweet potatoes sent me in the heavens I love sweet potatoes:
