Honest - Artesia

1. I ordered three different items from the menu. While the food was decent, it didn’t live up to my expectations. The pav bhaji, which I've enjoyed at Honest locations in Gujarat, usually comes with butter and a rich blend of flavors. Unfortunately, the version served to me was far from that experience. 2. I received one fried chili with my two Vada Pav. When I asked for an additional chili, I was told I would have to pay extra for a tiny fried chili. I’ve never encountered this at any restaurant before. It made me wonder how much they would charge for just one fried chili—it struck me as quite stingy for a restaurant. 3. I’m not sure what kind of oil they’re using in their cooking, but even after washing my hands multiple times and using hand sanitizer, I could still smell it on my skin. While I understand that it can be difficult to match the quality found in Gujarat, and I accept the extra charge for an additional chili, I believe it’s important to use better quality oil. Ultimately, it’s up to the franchise owner to decide whether they want to operate like a cheap roadside eatery or uphold the reputation of a well-regarded franchise.

The service is very fast. You hardly wait for 10 min and they start serving the food. I would recommend all the chat dish as they are very tasty. Pav bhai would be more tasty but it was 3/5. Dosa and Sambar was okay 2.5/5.

We come to Artesia twice a year for food from Utah. We had dinner and ordered Chinese fried rice. It was cold and super undercooked. We asked them to fix it but still it was very bad. We informed them again and asked for them to cancel the order. They still charged us for it and told us that cancellation is not possible. He argued a lot. Very bad customer service. The lady in the back had her hair open and was cooking the food without tying her hair or wearing a food net.we had ordered the same thing before but the taste and quality was different this time. Very bad food quality We don’t even want to give even one star.Never coming back again.

The bread used for all the sandwiches was stale, which made it hard and brittle. Given the price range of the menu, the quality of ingredients should be closely monitored during preparation. It's clear that they were aware of what they were using, so there's no excuse for this oversight.

They charged me 18% tip saying I have a big party when it was literally 5 adults! They didn’t even ask me before charging me! Ridiculous highly recommend triple checking your receipts! I went back to ask and they said it’s written on the menu the menu was 3 pieces that weren’t even together no where did it state that they charge a “service fee”! I’ve been to so many restaurants and never been charged a tip without my consent!
