Airport Hacienda Motel - Ascot

Was close to the Portside wharf where we were catching a cruise ship the next day but was a bit dated & dingy. Clean enough though & comfy. The breakfast was great value.

My company booked a room for me here. Terrible; smelly and dirty. I walked out after 15 minutes and went to another motel. Don't bother staying here.

We needed a room for a six hour lay over from Darwin to Newcastle. Staff were very polite, friendly and accommodating, they arranged our taxi for the journey back to the airport for our early morning flight.The room was enough for the one night, unfortunately we could not have stayed there any longer as the double bed was so hard and uncomfortable, the pillow was not much better. I must say that the shower was very awkward, I am only a short person but the shower head was set at such a strange angle, that it shot up and over me. so showering was somewhat difficult.It does look a little old and tired, but we were thankful for a place to stay and the air conditioning and free wifi were a bonus.

We took a shuttle there, we were quite late but we were met and the night manager took our bags up stairs. They tell you there is no lift as they call an elevator there. The room was small but quite efficient. The day person, a women was quite helpful and nice. The rate was acceptable for one night.
