TGI FRIDAYS - Asheville

What we expected. after a long trip we just wanted to have a good lunch. this place looked like they were closed, the hostess was less than happy that we showed up. the waitress tried and had like 5 tables and trained a young lady. her effort was very good and very pleasant. the Cobb salad was all they could throw into the bowl. we had to ask why not include an avocado. the waitress was nice enough to get something out and it really tried. my laugh was good and we could overlook most problems, but it was the really bad taste in music that played. we were there to eat, not a rap concert. I assume that is the reason why people stay left in the connected hotel for a better place. what a shame.

I was in a hotel connected to tgi on Friday. had minimal expectation, but my experience was fantastic! had served a cpl bier by an amazing bartender called jess. she was amazing w/ her service and hospitality! I grabbed a chicken bacon ranch sandwich with fries, which was absolutely delicious!

First they do not go to tgif for a gourmet menu, they go there for pub fair. this place like so many others was somewhat underoccupied, so we had to wait between a long one or sit on the bar. it was bar. the personal was friendly and attentive. our food was well cooked and how it should taste, pub fair. the bar options were fairly limited so that was a break. they have the popular options, but nothing special. if I were back in the and my options were limited, I would go back in order. my expectations were not super high and tgif met them at least or maybe even surpassed them a bit.

We were immediately greeted and placed in the bar area. our server remained on the top of the dinge, but not so much that it was interrupted the meal. our drinks were full and our food was delivered immediately. overall the restaurant was not very crowded on the bar side. the outside seats looked good, but it was so hot that we didn't even think about asking for her. or a party of three shared a few appetizers and a dessert. the good tasted good and was served at an acceptable temperature. the Mozzarella sticks were the best I had for a long time.

The food looks good right? Just wait until you taste it. Our food was cooked perfect but the flavors did not work together. The loaded potatoes we ordered were cold when we got them and not tasty at all. My partner got the steak and it was chewy, so chewy you would’ve thought it was hubba bubba bubble gum. If you want to spend $70 on 2 for mediocre food then be my guest.
