I think this is the best restaurant in aspen. eating is excellent and creatiw, with ingredients that represent the local environment. other restaurants can have excellent eating in aspen, but this has inventive dishes that they serve not only a steak or rack of lamb. service was excellent. the lighting and the ambiente are perfect. it is not loud (what so many places are in these days.) they cover all the bases and I will be back. it was my birthday and there was a very beautiful “surprise and joy” at the end.
Absolutely amazing service and eat. plan our next trip back. that's a top ten menu for me.
A feast for the senses! Every bite is an explosion of tastes and textures with not one dish resembling the next. What a treat!
No meal is perfect, and what is the point of writing a review if not to recount some imperfection. Last evening meal was excellent but for one imperfection: the elk tartar. It was a compotey mishmash without a discernible elk flavor. Otherwise, excellent. The beef tenderloin was made perfectly.
