Grateful Deli - ASPEN

We tried the ham sandwich, grilled cheese, and Greek salad. The wait isn’t too bad if you stick to cold items, but let me assure you, it’s worth it. A heads-up for anyone with a nut allergy: they prepare their peanut butter and jelly on the same equipment as the paninis, so just be aware. They will inform you that they can’t guarantee no cross-contamination, which is common, but perhaps they could consider an alternative setup just for the pb&j. On to the food: the salad dressing was fantastic, and I found myself wanting more! The feta cheese and olives were very fresh. The chicken was just okay. I was a bit concerned because it looked a little too pale for my liking. I would have preferred it to be a bit “drier,” if that makes sense. Honestly, I ended up not eating it because it made me nervous. However, the sandwich bread was amazing, and the sandwiches themselves were delicious. The grilled cheese, in particular, was outstanding! You have to order it—it’s that good. Overall, the food was excellent, the service was quick (though no eye contact, as they were quite busy but not rude), so I highly recommend checking this place out. The locals often take their sandwiches to nearby parks.

This place is absolutely amazing! The food is delicious, and the variety of options is almost limitless. The staff is extremely friendly as well. If you find yourself in Aspen, you definitely need to check this spot out!

The food is always absolutely delicious! And when Glenn the owner was out of town and we had an extremely large order for our office, the two ladies were so friendly and did an incredible job getting our order out perfectly. This is especially impressive knowing that everybody else was closed for off season so they were taken care of everyone in town. I would highly recommend grateful Deli to anybody.

Small hole in the wall sandwich shop with good assortment of preselected combos. Good size portion for the price, especially given its location in Aspen
