Blue Sky - Athens

I think this is one of the most classic bars in the classic city. the blueberry buck $7) was delicious. it is a little expensive for breathing, but they use more beautiful alcohol and the cocktails are more specific, so the higher prices are justified. the music is low, so you can hear each other. they have a sweet outside area. the bathroom had soap and paper towels so yay for blue sky! nice barkeeper. we're coming back.

Skylar was absolutely incredible. the life of the bar, her vibe was 100% the ground when back. she helped me find a beer I liked, but she did a good job. I recommend this place very much!

Favorite bar in Athens. The personnel here, including Jeff, are outstanding people with elite bartending skills and values. Best conversations and drinks in town. Bartender rates: Sikes Alex Warrior Baggs. Best bar back JT Jack. Worst regular Chad, best regular Corinna.

This place is an Athens must. Great feel, great bartenders, and a really cool outdoor space.

Really cool bar in the heart of downtown Athens! Friendly and knowledgeable staff are always a perk when trying out a new venue. Blue Sky Bar is a perfect place to meet someone new for a drink, or the gather up with a large group of friends. The bar offers indoor as well as outdoor seating. It’s always nice to have options when weather permits. Drink prices are pretty much par for the course- the course being the vast number of other bar options in the area. One more cool thing (for those of us in the “older” crowd) is this is not your typical college-age bar. Late 20s and up should all feel comfortable in this atmosphere.
