Contribuisci feedbackMy family and I visited this restaurant on a Friday evening and received a fantastic warm welcome. Even at 5.30, the restaurant was bustling with diners. Our drinks were promptly served and we all ordered steak, which was delicious and cooked perfectly to our liking. The waitress offered us coffee and dessert, but we were too full to indulge. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. We will definitely be returning in the future.
The service at this restaurant is fantastic and the food is of high quality without any unnecessary frills. I had a wonderful evening with friends here. The decor may need some improvement, but there is a charming simplicity to the place that adds to its overall appeal. The relaxed atmosphere makes for a pleasant dining experience. I would definitely recommend this place.
This was our first visit to the restaurant of the boating season. We didn't book in advance, but Geraldine kindly accommodated us after we docked in the nearby harbor. We had a few beers before enjoying our delicious main courses – a rack of lamb for me and a tasty fish pie for my partner. Of course, we started with a healthy shared salad, as is the custom at this restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and hope to come back again this season.
We had dinner here this evening.We were a group in our 60s.We were seated at a table with hard benches between a window that was broken and therefore impossible to close,and a door that was continuously opening.We were cold and asked to be seated elsewhere.Despite many empty tables ,our request was flatly refused.Our food came promptly,steaks, however our french fries arrived,after reminder our waitress we were still waiting, towards the end of the meal,as did the water we requested.This may be acceptable in a cheap diner, however our main course was €36 .It was not an enjoyable evening out
We were 1.5 hrs waiting for food to be served to our table of 5. 2 tables who arrived much later were served before us. Despite having table booked, 5 people were crammed into a small corner and looking around larger tables were given to just 2 people. When steaks arrived they were pure charcoal. The canneloni was also burnt..never thought that was even possible. The salmon ordered was served in a sheet of tinfoil with a tiny dollop of salad which hardly seemed woth €22 given the fact you can purchase 4 salmon darnes in a supermarket for €6 !! The table salad arrived 30 mins before the actual meals and all bulmers ordered were served in cans from a multipack bought in a supermarket but charged at pub prices. We asked for bill and were waiting 30 mins when we decided to just go to bar counter to pay. Going out we seen the waitress we requested bill from actually washing dishes !! The kitchen looked awful. Wouldn 't think it 's been inspected ever !! Serious improvement needed and staff who smiled or even displayed some manners/friendliness wouldn 't go astray !!
