The best restaurant experience in years! we never found out who our server was, 2 youngs stopped and imagined, but were never available. we had to ask other people for help, ie sweeteners for icy, twice each time. I had to ask twice for an icy filling, then he brought me half a glass. the eating was marginal, the fries were cold, fried cornish henne was much overcooked and missing meat. I never checked the status. had to wait 10 minutes to check and until it gets blown in. the first time I left a $1. tipp. worst one of the waiters ran after us and cried the room that he did his best, only saw him once at the end of the meal to delete. if that sounds like a rant, it can be, but I rarely complain on the line or on web pages. the worst thing is that several employees were standing on their hands all the time. if I have problems, I tend to talk to manager privately. I know everyone had bad days. I won't be back.
I like the place and the diversity of the artists who play here. but I'll never dinate here again. the service was very slow and the food was not all that it was especially great for the prices. also the menu needs more variety. I recommend the weeping and the concerts. Watch the eating here. our waiting staff were very friendly, but the kitchen cannot be maintained with guests in the restaurant and guests at concerts.
Apart from the fries, we ordered about four dishes that took a long time to arrive. The waitress was quite inattentive, which forced us to ask other staff members for assistance. The restaurant wasn't very crowded, so I really can't understand why there were so many delays.
I've visited City Winery six times in 2019 primarily for the fantastic live entertainment they offer. However, I wouldn’t rate it as a 4 or 5-star restaurant. If you plan to get good seating, expect to spend around $200-$300 for two, especially considering the admission charges. The service is both friendly and professional, and the menu features bistro wine bar style dishes, mostly ranging from good to very good. The bottled wine selection is on the pricier side compared to what's available. Overall, I intend to return to City Winery when there's a band or entertainment that makes the experience worthwhile.
