Meehan's Public House - Atlanta

My wife and I visited this restaurant before heading to Nashville, Tennessee, for the Falcons game last Saturday. We had a wonderful time, and the food was excellent. The customer service was remarkable, earning top marks from us. Overall, we would rate it as follows: Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5. We highly recommend the Smokehouse Burger!

Endless mimosas, delicious food, excellent drinks, and a wonderful atmosphere! Price per person: $50–100. Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5. Recommended dishes include Shepherd's Pie, Fried Pickles, Fish and Chips, Reuben Egg Rolls, Pub Nachos, Pan Roasted Chicken, Lobster Bisque, Meehan's Burger, French Fries, Buffalo Wings with either Bleu Cheese or Ranch, Smokehouse Burger, Jameson Bread Pudding, and the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich.

We've visited this restaurant a couple of times after our hikes and bike rides, and it's the perfect spot to relax on the patio for an afternoon. Their brunch and lunch menu on the weekends offers a great variety. I had the ranchero bowl, which was a delicious mix of roasted potatoes, tomato, avocado, queso, grilled (or fried) chicken, and a fried egg. I loved it, and the portion was quite generous. Our waiter today was very friendly and attentive, making the experience even better.

However, when it was time to pay, we were presented with a single check. I reminded the waitress about our earlier discussion, and she went to speak with the manager but never returned. When I approached the manager, he claimed that the waitress had told him she never said we could have separate checks. It was clear that the waitress felt intimidated by the manager during our interaction. I explained that had I known we would only receive one check, we would have chosen a different restaurant or requested separate seating to facilitate the billing. To my surprise, the manager threatened to call the police on me. I would never consider returning to this place again. It’s shocking to be threatened by a restaurant manager over a simple request for separate checks, especially when the bill itself was also incorrect.
