Ruth's Chris Steak House - Atlanta

I had a fantastic experience! Our server, Michael, was attentive and did an excellent job explaining the menu. He’s definitely the best waiter in the place. Since it was my first visit, I was impressed by the overall ambiance, even forgetting that it’s located within a hotel. I really embraced the whole experience, and it was wonderful—definitely a 10 out of 10! Plus, the cool artwork on the walls added to the vibe.

This restaurant is on the pricey side, and with that higher price point comes higher expectations. However, the service we received from our server, Rose, was outstanding. She was incredibly kind and attentive to our needs. We opted for the chef's suggested menu, which allowed us to choose a salad, main course, side, and dessert. I had the Caesar salad, which was delicious, along with mashed potatoes that were quite good, and the steak and lobster. The lobster was exceptional, while the steak was just average; I've had better filet mignon at Salt Grass Steakhouse. I ordered my steak medium well, but it came out medium instead. The cheesecake for dessert was delightful and light—definitely a highlight of the meal. The ambiance was nice, with lovely music and beautifully set tables.

I was in town for a conference and found Ruth's Chris within walking distance from my hotel, so I decided to check it out with a colleague. We kicked things off with the Tuna appetizer and a Half Seafood Tower, which are both our usual favorites. My colleague usually orders the Bone-In Filet, so I decided to give it a try since I hadn't had it before. It was decent, but I think I prefer the ribeye or lamb chops if I'm in the mood for something lean. We also ordered the lobster mac and cheese along with the cream spinach. Although I typically skip dessert, I couldn't resist the crème brûlée and a French Quarter cocktail after dinner.

Disappointing Experience at Ruth's Chris Steak House, Buckhead As a local resident of the Sovereign, I had high expectations for Ruth's Chris Steak House in Buckhead, renowned for its steak and fine dining. Unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing. The service was lackluster. Despite the restaurant not being overly busy, it took a long time for the staff to acknowledge our presence. When we finally got their attention, the service was unenthusiastic and inattentive. Our server seemed disinterested in our dining experience, and we had to repeatedly ask for basic items like water and utensils. The food, which should have been the highlight, was equally disappointing. The steaks, famed for their quality and flavor, were underwhelming. My steak was overcooked and lacked the juiciness and flavor I expected from a high-end steakhouse. The sides were mundane and did not complement the main course as they should. For a restaurant that prides itself on quality and service, this experience was a letdown. Given the reputation and price point of Ruth's Chris, I expected a meal and service of much higher caliber. As a local, I was hoping to find a new favorite spot in Buckhead, but unfortunately, I have no plans to return. It's disheartening to see such potential go to waste.

Conrad is the best !!!!! I enjoyed a delightful meal and had a beautiful experience at Ruth Chris Steak House. Conrad service and expertise are deserving of a Michelin Goldstar.
