The White House - Atlanta

I want to start on a positive note: the food was enjoyable. My French toast was fresh and cooked perfectly, the coffee was decent, and the staff was incredibly warm and friendly. The waitresses and cashier were exceptionally sweet. However, I found the prices to be quite steep. My French toast plate was priced at $10, and while it was tasty, I wouldn’t say it was worth that much—maybe around $7 or $8 would be more reasonable. I don’t want to come off as overly picky about prices, but I also dislike the feeling of being overcharged, whether it’s due to the restaurant's reputation or its location. I’m just visiting Atlanta, and I’ve heard that Buckhead can be quite expensive. I realize this restaurant has been around for a long time, and perhaps they’re setting their prices based on their history rather than the actual value of what’s offered. In summary, it’s a charming spot, but not a great value. I probably wouldn’t go back.

I’ve been craving an old-school diner, and this place delivered exactly what I wanted. I’ve never had such a wonderful experience at a restaurant until I came here—everyone is incredibly friendly! The food is absolutely outstanding. I can’t wait to return!

As for the main attraction, the food was impressively fresh and delicious. It was served promptly, and the portion sizes were substantial (which I didn’t mind, but a heads-up for those who prefer smaller servings). I ordered the presidential platter, which is quite large, so keep that in mind. I wanted to try the banana pudding, but unfortunately, it’s only available on Fridays. Nevertheless, this little hidden gem is definitely worth a visit, and I highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful meal today at the White House, and our server Bri was fantastic! The hashbrowns were the best I've ever had, and the service was excellent!
