Tomo Japanese - Atlanta

The portions are small and pricey but very very good. It is an experience to go and have such wonderful food prepared. We went with mostly fish and it was all delicious. We did try the lamb chop and it was amazing. Because we were there for the first time, we wanted to try a variety of dishes, so we concentrated on appetizers. The meal would have been far less expensive if we had had more main dishes, but it was a great dining experience and I would not change any of our decisions.

While I'm willing to overlook the service hiccup, I was shocked to encounter what seemed to be dishonesty from the staff in a restaurant that markets itself as classy and upscale. At that point, my cousin and I were the last diners remaining, along with two servers and a cleaning lady, as the restaurant was closed until 5:00 PM for dinner service. After using the restroom, I placed my sunglasses, which are worth over $500, down while washing my hands. To my dismay, my sunglasses have completely vanished. With no one else in the building but us and the three employees, I find this extremely disappointing. I had high hopes for a wonderful birthday experience, but instead, I feel robbed—not only of my sunglasses but of the experience itself.

This restaurant was incredible! I would give it a perfect 10/10. The food was so fresh and expertly prepared that it transported me straight to Japan. I highly recommend trying the Omakase experience here. The service was outstanding as well; the staff was always attentive and made sure our glasses were never empty!

My husband and I visited Tomo for the Omakase experience on September 20th, and I must say, I’m not easily impressed, but this was by far the most incredible dining experience I've ever had. The chef crafted exquisite dishes from scratch, showcasing fresh flavors that truly reflect Japanese cuisine. It felt like a personalized experience, making us feel like the only guests in the restaurant. I highly recommend this experience and would do it again and again!

I had an amazing experience with the chef's omakase—it was absolutely delightful! The Negroni was also top-notch. While the bread pudding was good, I think I would have preferred a different dessert for a more indulgent end to the meal.
