Overall this was a good visit. It’s very casual and has a fun twist on the menu. Similar to a cafeteria, you order at the counter and then clear your own plates. The potato salad was the best item we tried; it was creamy, tangy, the perfect amount of potato. The rest of the food was ok. Not as good as I was hoping, but I would be back for a casual meal in the future. From what we heard, the cornbread and salmon are the best items on the menu I’d recommend trying those, I wish I had!

I stopped by for a smoked turkey plate, and I must say, the chicken was delicious! The baked beans were the best I've ever had, the cornbread was tasty, and the fries were served hot and not greasy at all. I'm deducting stars solely because they add a 20% service charge, so be prepared for a hefty bill. This isn’t a sit-down restaurant with waitstaff; it’s just a BBQ joint. They didn’t even provide silverware. When I asked for some, they told me it was “inside,” so I had to go get it myself. What exactly is this 20% service charge covering? The food is fantastic, but I'm left wondering about the actual service.

The sides were fantastic and the portions were very generous. I ordered the turkey plate and I would give it 5 out of 5 stars. I chose potato salad and creamed corn as my sides. My friend had the pulled pork plate, which came with macaroni and cheese and baked beans.

I really enjoyed their location in the Summerhill area. This place has been gradually expanding, and it's exciting to see it grow. Wood's Chapel BBQ is a fantastic addition to Summer Hill. I came here for dinner and opted to sit inside. There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. The ordering process was quick, and the food arrived promptly. Everything I tried was delicious, and the creamed corn was my favorite side—absolutely delightful. They have a well-rounded menu with a great variety, so there's always something new to try with each visit.

This is a neighborhood go-to BBQ spot with generous outdoor seating options, even a Cornhole spot at the back for kids or young-at-heart. Menu is reasonably priced. You cannot go wrong with picking any combination of the sides, our particular favourites are the Brunswick Stew and Collard Greens.
