Zafron Restaurant - Atlanta

This Atlanta/Sandy Springs restaurant has quickly become my favorite! The food is consistently excellent, and the portions are generous, even at lunchtime. The ambiance and staff are great. Although prices are a bit high, it's worth it for the quality of the food. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The service at this restaurant is outstanding, and the atmosphere inside is pleasant. They offer outdoor seating as well as a special sunroom for private events. The food is delicious, and if you call ahead, you can get seated promptly. We arrived at 6pm and appreciated the low noise level. Parking is also free. I highly recommend trying the tandoori chicken, which is marinated perfectly, and the jeweled rice, which is my favorite dish. I enjoyed a watermelon margarita during this visit and a strawberry margarita on my next visit. I suggest trying this place for lunch - you won't be disappointed.

I made a reservation for a group of 15 last night to celebrate a friend's birthday. The restaurant charged a mandatory $5 CAKE CUTTING fee per person for any birthdays, which I found to be unreasonable. The food was delicious, and I would have given a 5-star review, but the poor customer service soured the experience. The waiters were friendly and attentive, but the manager or whoever approached us was rude. We had a private area in the restaurant, and I discreetly stepped away to pray near our cake table, which took less than 2 minutes and was not visible to other customers (as shown in the photo I posted). The manager told my friend that I was not allowed to pray anywhere in the restaurant. I have traveled to over 50 countries, dined at Michelin star restaurants, local cafes, and never been prohibited from praying. Since the restaurant does not respect freedom of religion, I will not be returning. We don't just dine out for food, but for the atmosphere and experience. Unfortunately, this restaurant ruined what could have been a wonderful birthday celebration.

Great personal spot with good service and food. Portions are very large, two people can definitely share an appetizer and an entree. Lamb was very good and rice was very tasty. Kashk Bademjoon was out of this world. Great place!

Flavorful Persian food. We loved every bite. The the trio in the appetizer? my son just ate it all up. The kebabs were great and the rice was amazing Will definitely be back
