A great selection of micro-brews on tap. I didn 't see any of the big names, which was pleasant to see. The venue itself is nice, if a little 'grungey, and they appear to be saving on electricity by having the lightning set to 'mood lighting level 5 '. I guess thats so you can just enjoy your beer in peace without looking at the person you are with (or even knowing if they are still there!)Has a distinct 'Wellington ' vib, which I 'm OK with. A great selection of beers, and the hips came out wrapped in paper with healthy selection of condiments! All in all a good option for some after work drinks!
I 've been eyeing this place up for a while, as I walk past it every day after work; a time when I 'm particularly vulnerable to be lured by beer. <br/ <br/ The beer selection is decent, there 's no big brands on tap, it 's all small brewers who have been put up on display. This is good to see. <br/ <br/ I ordered a 'Murica beer because the advertising said it 'tasted like freedom '. Not sure if this is quite true, but it was delicious nonetheless. <br/ <br/ I also ordered the Brewers burger with chips. I wasn 't too fussed with the 30 minute wait considering the size of my group. <br/ <br/ The burger was superb, it was more delicious than those produced at exclusive burger joints. <br/ <br/ I will come back soon for sure, as burgers and beer are too hard for me to resist.
I went here with some colleagues last Friday. To be truely honestly it was a weird, but satisfying experience. Firstly the fitout and decor is awesome, creating a comfortable cool feel to it. They have a salad bar available and you can just take a menu sit at a table and then order at the bar when your ready. They have a bit of a kiwi theme going on so they bring all the meals out wrapped in fish and chip newspaper, which is cool but a little hard to unravel!! My burger was very over cooked and needed more sauce for sure. However my colleagues got fish and a salad from the salad bar and they said they loved loved their food. All up it was $60ish for three of us including a drink each as well, so very reasonably priced
Came by to check out the beer selection and wasn 't let down by the impressive selection they had. They had 20 different beers on tap and changed a few at the end of the night. The hardest thing is choosing from the selection. The beer names are on the tap but there was a 'pouring now ' wire board with the beer currently on tap.<br/ <br/ The area isn 't too bad, parking available around the Victoria street region. They had a few tables inside as well as outside and it was fairly large.<br/ <br/ The food was quite nice. Quite a few thing to choose from but I would recommend the fish and chips is it is your first time here since they are a fish and chippery. Selection of fishes with different prices and different styles of cooking. What was interesting is that they serve all their food takeaway style, wrapped in paper. Tasty food and nicely priced.
