The views are stunning! The customer service is top-notch! And there's even a gastropub on the premises! Amazing, amazing, amazing!

A bit pricey, but very tasty food! Both the lamb and dear burger can be recommended.

Very clean little place to stay right on a Fjord with beautiful views. So much quieter than Flåm. There were 5 of us. Three in one of the small cabins with a little deck overlooking the Fjord and two of us in the main house. The old reviews about sheets in the cabins are incorrect. They are provided now without extra charge however you have to make up your bed on your own. There is a small kitchen in the cabin with plenty of dishes. You are expected to remove the sheets; wash the dishes and sweep the floors before you leave the cabins and breakfast for those 8n the cabins is an extra charge. Dinner in the restaurant is quite good. Deer burgers and fries were excellent. Salad was lovely however dressing was just oil and vinegar. The bathrooms in all the rooms and cabins are very small which is typical for small older places in all of Europe. The only reason I did not give this charming place 5 stars is because of the very soft older mattress that should be replaced.

Wonderful place to stay right on the fjord. Check in was very accommodating and goes late into the night in case it takes you awhile to get here; we didn't arrive until after dark from Oslo. We stayed in a small, cute cabin and woke up to the gorgeous view of fjords right outside of our window. Comfortable bed and nice kitchen in the cabin complete with everything you need to cook a meal. The man running the Vangsgården Gjestgiveri was very sweet and had an adorable dog and sleepy cat hanging around. If you don't bring your own sheets/towels you will have to rent them at an extra price. You are expected to leave your cabin the way you found it; cleaning supplies are available to you in the unit. Parking was easy and the hotel was very close to Flam (10 minutes) for the boat tour of the fjord. Free wifi made things easy for us. Marianne Bakeri Kafe is next door and has delicious food. There is a also a grocery store in walking distance that is open pretty late. I would love to stay here again in the future.

This restaurant is a fantastic place to enjoy a meal with a beautiful view of the fjord. The check-in process was very convenient and continues late into the night in case you arrive late. We had a pleasant experience during our stay.
