For those looking to order from the main menu, options like BBQ prepared by the kitchen, stews, bibimbap, noodles, and grilled items are available, with prices ranging from $9.95 to $32.95. While we waited for our main entrees, Ms. Young and her assistant brought out the Korean side dishes and rice. Each of us received a bowl of rice for our personal use. I ordered the Galbi, which consists of three pieces of marinated and cooked beef short ribs, as well as an order of Spicy Grilled Squid with vegetables. I really enjoyed the Galbi and would rate it at 4 stars, while the Spicy Grilled Squid would get around 3.25 to 3.5 stars. The Galbi was flavorful, but I was a bit disappointed with the Spicy Grilled Squid, as it wasn't as spicy as I had hoped despite requesting extra spice. One of my friends ordered Bibimbap, another chose BBQ Chicken marinated in special sauce, while those at the BBQ table ordered a variety of dishes including Galbi (Beef Short Ribs), BBQ Pork Bulgogi (Beef), Cubed Rib, Green Bean Pancake, Pork Neck Bone Soup, and Monkfish with Bean Sprouts. If you need refills of rice or side dishes, there's a bell on the table to summon the attentive waitstaff. They are prompt and friendly, making sure your dining experience is enjoyable. By the end of the meal, I was stuffed! I took home leftovers of the Galbi and Grilled Squid for my husband. My friends were pleased with their selections as well. Overall, I really liked this place and wouldn't hesitate to return to Sae Jong Kwan for another meal! As we finished dinner, more patrons arrived for their late-night feasts.
We experienced a long wait to be seated, and it took even longer to receive our bill, which was also delayed when someone came to pick it up. Additionally, there was a mistake on our bill—it was initially listed as $17 instead of $45, but they corrected it when we gave them our credit card. Unfortunately, they had run out of pork cutlet, which was disappointing. Overall, I would rate my experience as mediocre. The slow service and the unavailability of the pork cutlet (tonkotsu), which was advertised on the menu, left me underwhelmed, as I've had better dining experiences elsewhere.
Last minute dinner choice beef and pork bulgogi. Nice open space with lots of open tables. Went here before with some friends years ago. Great price for lunch until 2:00.
I usually like rotating my Korean restaurants, to try the different banchan (small plate) the ones here are usually a hot or Miss with me as some are amazing and some not my cup of tea. There menu is huge which I love because I love trying new things. There pork rib potato soup (gamja tang) is one of the best. I had the tonkatsu here which I love as it a lil thicker then the one at dragon palace. Also I love that the sauce they use is the traditional tonkatsu sauce that you would get in Korea and Japan. I was a lil disappointed in their service today as no one came by to fill up our water when it was empty... I understand Asian restaurant service but when I have to get up twice just to get a water refill and I have to get up once just to get someone to take my order, that is disappointing.
Upon entering, you’ll notice that each table comes equipped with its own buzzer. Pressing it sends a signal to the back of the room, summoning a server right to
