I 'm not sure who the man was that walked our food to the table, but he has a serious attitude and an apparent problem with white/black couple. Dropped food on table, didn 't speak A WORD...yet turned around to the Indian couple and asked can I get you anything? Came back to ask other couple how is the food, need anything? Never said a single word to us. Wont be back.
The food was horrible, we ordered Mysore masala dosa, plain dosa and samosa chat. The batter of dosa was nothing similar to dosa batter and the batter seems to be few days old. We are from south india and dosa is not authentic. The price is really high and is not worth for the price. You can get a better authentic samosa chat from other shops for lesser price with good taste. I will not recommend this place.
Bombay Dhaba remains one of favorite Indian food places in all off Austin. We've visited most over the last 15yrs but this is consistently one of if not the best.Food: 5/5
First thing: Bombay Dhaba and austin dhosa is the same restaurant at same place .I personally had bad experience.1. Do not ask for Masala Tea because it is not an masala tea. It does costs 5 bucks for the waterish ginger tea readymade pack. Its not authentic tea at all.2. We had bad experience in dhosa as well as the better seems like a bit old one and tastes tangy. Lassi can be better but they added more water and made it too light. Samosa are only a good thing got at that place.Vegetarian options: Not an good experience in food.
It was ok for me. I asked them not to make it spicy and they agreed to it. However it still came out so spicy. Plus it was cooked in lots of oil. It might be possible that I was going for the first time and it was a rare bad experience.Food: 3/5
