Central Standard - Austin

Central Standard has some room for improvement when it comes to service and food presentation. We ordered the wooden sign, but it was served without any explanation about what was on the board. Since it wasn’t listed on the menu and only referred to as a "seasonal selection," we would have appreciated a brief description. We also tried the tuna crucible, which turned out to be more of a ceviche. It was presented rather haphazardly on the plate and didn’t resemble a crucible at all. On a positive note, the ambiance and décor of the restaurant are fantastic—perfect for a date night. I just hope the food and service can elevate to match the great atmosphere.

We had a delightful lunch! The staff was incredibly accommodating, and everyone was friendly and patient with us since it was our first visit and we wanted to learn more about the menu. The Tuna Crudo and charcuterie board were both delicious. We'll definitely be back soon!

We really liked the deviled eggs, cheese plate, and oysters. However, the rest of the food and cocktails didn't quite meet our expectations. On the bright side, the happy hour wine deal is fantastic! Our server was very friendly and helpful as well. We would definitely come back for the appetizers and a bottle of wine.

Phenomenal food and service. Special mention for the Yellowfin Tuna Crudo!
