Gumbos On The Lake - Austin

All stars are for the view that we get from this place. It is super crowded over the weekends and especially during holidays. They had over 1 hour waiting with no guarantee of getting a seat. No one was clearly guiding anyone and you kind of had to figure out. I guess it’s because of the location and the views. Perhaps will try it during the week or non peak season.

Unfortunately the lake was very dry and not pretty. One of the outdoor heaters had been broken for a while and still not repaired (per wait staff). And did mediocre. But I can imagine how pretty it would be if the water was fuller in the lake.

I didn't try any service, just went to know the place and the sunset. It is a must place to go, with a extraordinary landscape. The facilities are great, good to park the vehicle.

Overpriced. Your paying for the view...if you can get one.

Queso and chips were great. Guacamole, not so much... too much lemon and texture wasn't good. Prices are too high. The seating was not safe in some cases. One of the chairs kept tipping over. Beautiful view of sunset!
