Since we came with three children, we wanted to taste only a few wines and then have their tapas plate. We could choose between two different cheeses and choose the aged Gouda what was really nice. We had some white wine and the kids had some apple wine and enjoyed the great view. Unfortunately many bees around this time of the year, so we had to move. All in all a great experience and some nice staff and the wine tasted great, so we bought a bottle with us.
A must-see basement door! The views are absolutely amazing and the wines are divine. I would highly recommend it!
Superb wine and service and Josie looked after us after a booking error on my part. The standard tasting experience is very good, with a small carafe and tasting notes brought to your table. Worth the $15 dollar charge refunded if you inevitably buy some. The matching food and wine tasting experience was the best part. Local food matched with their premium wines for $65 per couple. Very well priced. Highly recommended.
A relative newcomer to Cellar Door (2017) but definitely worthy of a 5 star review. As I write the Sebastian gently removed a large moth that was in danger of being squashed in the sliding door! Now that's kinda spesh and indicative of the care and attention that is given at this cellar door experience! And of course the main objective of this traveller on a very warm summer day in East Gippsland was to quaff and savour cellar door tastings. Apart from the Shiraz each wine on tasting was very much on point, and testament to the intent of the winemaker to make memorable wines. For me as always cellar door staff are imperative to either a good really choice or exceptional cellar door experience. These locally sourced staff ticked every box so I leave with a lasting memory of a most pleasurable stay here. Jimmy
If you 're into wines this cellar door is a must visit in the Gippsland east region. As soon as we pulled up we were greeted by 'Bear ' the dog, who happily accepted pats and led us to the winery. The cellar door appears relatively new, and the views are amazing. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the wines which are unique to the region with their own character of which there were approximately 10 on the tasting list. There are tables outside and plenty of parking. One big potential would be to provide light meals which are currently not available.
