Unusual location in a garden center, but looking for gluten-free eating while on the stretch from victoria to nsw was pleasantly surprised by the quality and selection of available options. I had the chicken pesto salad with parmesan, who surpassed all expectations! delicious pieces. of juicy chicken covered with pesto and slightly broken served with a beautiful salad, shaved parmesan, sun dried tomato, olive, nuts and feta cheese. really delicious!
My husband and I ordered the smashed avocado breakfast which came with fried egg and bacon. We were disappointed as the bread was soggy and difficult to cut. The perfectly cooked egg was the only redeeming aspect. The omelette had thinly sliced potatoes and was poorly made. The cutlery was cheap and the cappuccino was weak.
After finally being served, the service at the counter was abrupt and dismissive. We ordered our meal and waited for an hour to eat, despite there being many empty tables and others who arrived after us being served first. The food was delicious, but our coffees were only half filled and had bits of grit. The atmosphere at the counter was not great. On a positive note, the waiter was polite.
We went in to buy some plants and discovered the delightful New Leaf Cafe. Paying a little more is definitely worth it in my opinion when you get good food and service. It has become our place when I come and visit my Son. I...always order a Tumeric Latte with Honey on the side delicious.
