The Club Hotel - Bairnsdale

Just not good. A group of 6 of us had dinner at the club hotel, we won't be back. We had to wait an hour for our meals and not one of them was nice. One chicken fillet wasn't even cooked through, when this was pointed out to the staff member she took it back to the kitchen and come back with a message that to make up for it they would supply one free drink! Meals were cold. Just not happy at all.

This is a very lame hotel, the beer garden area is OK, but the main bar is smelly and sad with zero atmosphere and the only wine they have comes out of a large cardboard cask. Would not drink here, let alone eat. There are many better options in Bairnsdale.

Very nice and friendly barmaid also the ownet (leonie) nothing is to much trouble and her service is very much five star Hotel is very much better than a hotel that has pokies as nothing more annoying than the sound of those useless machines when you want to relax !

The beer was cold. So was the food. We were delivered a meal that was not what we had ordered but ate it anyway. The top of was the credit card (not Amex) surcharge of $2 on $57 - that we weren't informed of until post payment.

We were pleasantly surprised by the great service and amazing food at the Club Hotel Bairnsdale. Can recommend the HOT ROCK steaks YUMM! Its a great spot to spend time with friends with a beer garden and a band most weekends.
