I didn't have it apart that I get something special just a simple snack to keep me from being hungry for a while. we ordered the jam shop. to tell the truth, I was sure it will be expensive, and it is part of the teeforderation like other restaurants in baku. so or so, the waiter told me not to worry all good take 2 jams (I thought he was nice or because we were 4 people and ordered double teapots) while the kunaffe came and was as heavy as a rock. the only part that was slightly soft was burned. this is all after the waiter had many confusion and could ask the same again and again. whem I told him that I didn't want him to say a minute further and then just did nothing with the situation. I asked him *please take it away from the table! I won't eat it! And again the same answer, just a minute nothing bad. after that I was annoyed, I told him - that's not good. I don't want to. I don't know why I'm waiting. at this point he said ok wait and went again, this time came back and said ok we will make you another. I said it's too late, we ended the whole tee a long time ago and I won't start and wait for him all again. he almost bagged, 2 minutes it's done. Finally he agreed to ask and said, ok we take it out of their bill. at last our meal times. that is when I was every jam was 10 coat (more than 5.5 dolars), although it is only for the taste. but okay, I should have asked. but why twice? at this point the waiter said that he did not say anything about taking the second jam. I asked for manager. he came and said you had a menu that you looked at the prices that I explained about the extra jam, and he said you were okay. they do not have to pay the second, but I would take it from his calming when u prefare it. paid like a meal for tee with some sweetening. plus a 3 manate fee for tip, which has also been added in the bill.
Suuuuper expensive (food in picture was ₼20) but friendly staff spoke English
We were persuaded to go in (to the garden restaurant) by their tout, who claimed they had very reasonable food and drink prices, including beer starting at 4 AZN. We found the cheapest beer to be Xardalan in a bottle for 6AZN (plus service charge) which was warm. We also ordered dushbere' (small fried dumplings) for 6AZN, and got the tiniest serving imaginable (about 1/4 or less than what we've had at other places for a lower price). Total tourist trap.
Rip off and TOURIST TRAP! A guy on the street sweet talked us to go and try the cafe claiming we would spend not more than 70 -80 manat for two people if we didn't order alcoholic beverages--which we didn't and the view is special. The view was not that special, the waiter brought us food we never ordered which consisted of dried fruit and then charged us for that extra, though we never touched it. Then when we inquired about it, they said the waiter didn't understand but they cannot take it off the bill. So we ended up paying 15 manat more for food we didn't eat. Then they said we can take the food we never ordered and never touched with us? We asked why we would take food we don't eat and pay for it even though We didn't ask for it? They also charged us over 10% extra for service. Just added that on top of the rip off bill. Ended up being billed 141 Manat for what usually would cost 70-80 Manat! Avoid this place at all cost, it's a tourist trap!
This is a very notorious place where a fraudulent looking guy would stop at the Iceriseher Hotel entrance and hunt for tourists to rip them off in a very awkward way. They bring you a dozen of side plates that you didn't order, let you eat a few bits from this tray and the other as the same man hands it over to you personally and tells you to try it as they come free with your order, and in the end you see fireworks in your bill! I paid 44 manats for 3 cups of Azeri tea that you can get for AZN 1.5 or 3 in the front corner. Why? AZN 5 for 3 cups of tea -which is the only thing we ordered-, plus AZN 15 for dried fruits and another 15 for nuts, 5 for fruit jam and 10% service! He said we can take them home since we didn't touch this. BEWARE of this ambush!
