On warm summer days the dining deck has one of the most enjoyable views in the Kootenays. The menu is loaded with a variety of regional features and international favorites. Salads are always fresh and the mains are mostly made to order. Although the wine list is limited, the house wines are quite acceptable. On cooler days or when the deck is full, dining inside is a bit like a cafeteria with very little atmosphere and the room is loud and boomy. Some acoustic mufflers would really improve the dining experience.
I recently dined at the Osprey Mountain Grill, also known as The Balfour Golf Club, for the first time. I ordered the wild salmon dish with fresh herbs, a touch of spice, and mango garnish, which was beautifully presented. The waitress was friendly and the service was excellent. It was a pleasant surprise, considering the limited dining options in the area. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future.
Today, there were few people at Tees for lunch on a Saturday, but I couldn't understand why. It was fantastic. My mother and I enjoyed our meal outside with a lovely view of the golf course and mountains. My mother ordered pork sausages with sweet potato mash, steamed greens, and mushroom sauce, which she thought was perfect. I opted for an asparagus, feta, and pear salad with a light and fresh dressing, accompanied by a glass of wine from their extensive selection available by the glass. I highly recommend making Tees your go-to lunch spot.
This golf club restaurant has recently been rebranded as "THE OSPREY MOUNTAIN GRILL." My wife, nephew, and I visited the restaurant, which my nephew, a local resident, recommended. We were all amazed by the beautiful mountain views from the deck, especially on a lovely summer evening with clear skies and gentle breezes. The waitress was friendly, helpful, and efficient. My wife and nephew both enjoyed the Santa Fe Stuffed Chicken, while I tried the delicious nightly special, a seafood pasta dish. The wine selection was good, and we ended our meal with a decadent chocolate ganache dessert. Although the prices were a bit high, the stunning views made it well worth it. The Osprey Mountain Grill is a rare find in the Harrop-Procter and Balfour area, offering a unique and special dining experience. If you're looking to relax, enjoy breathtaking views, and indulge in a delicious meal, this is the place to visit. May you be blessed.
As is often the case, the restaurant was jammed with clients, but our wait was acceptable and our food was delicious as ever.
