The Lane Vineyard - BALHANNAH

As part of a training group, the host arranged for a wine tasting session at The Lane vineyard and we were given to taste a range of 5 different wines and they serve some nibbles and unfortunately I do not know the name - there are smoked duck, cheese, bacon, ham all served with crackers or bread,and the event was fun, knowledgeable. The vineyard is big with rows of grape plants. We took many scenic photograph. They do have a dining area but we did not try the food, but it should be okay as the restaurant was already 70% packed at 11 am on a Saturday

I starting planning a lunch to celebrate my 50th birthday with a group of friends and family about a year ago , i had been to the lane on a wine tour and had thought it was nice space and more importantly had some very nice wines. So decided to take the wife for lunch to try before we buy and were really impressed with the service , food and wine.We booked the birthday bash in and where not disappointed , After receiving a warm welcome for a our late arrival , everyone was seated they all remarked on the beautiful viewsHaving a large group we had already picked from the large selection available in the group menu and was a bit nervous that we hadn't picked enough for everyone As soon as the plates started coming out my nervousness disappeared , plate after plate was full over the whole 3 courses, all presented beautifully.Most people in the group are foodies and they couldn't stop talking about much they enjoyed all the menu , duck and pork belly where the favorites.Last but definitely not least was the service , our waitress and the staff were absolutely perfect they made sure that everyone's wine glass was full ,we never had to chase or ask for anything,Plates were delivered and tables cleared without fuss and all done with nice smiles and warmth. After the stress of picking out the right venue to make sure we had a really memorable day , my group and me cant recommend the Lane enough :)

This proved a great venue for a long lazy lunch reunion with a great friend. Warm greetings from the staff followed by them showing us through to a dedicated tasting area for people dining in the restaurant. We were made to feel special. The food was tasty, pretty and intriguing. I really enjoyed the 'sides' of pumpkin and chips plus my desert of Russian honey cake. Oh, and the view across the vines and hills was pretty amazing too!!Highly recommend for a special occasion.

I received the Chef's table lunch for my wife and I for my birthday.Well what an experience, right from the start the staff were welcoming and couldn't do enough.But particular mention must go to James (the chef) who was terrific with his explanations of the 7 different courses and his friendly attitude made you feel very special and gave you the impression he really enjoyed cooking just for you.Nastachia (our table attendant) who was a delight with information about the wines which came with each course and friendly conversation about anything you wanted to discuss.The other staff were great as well but these two were extra special.The food was fabulous, we tried things we probably wouldn't have normally, but nothing disappointed.The restaurant and location is out of this world with great views over the surrounding vineyard and hills.Can't recommend this enough as a place to go for an occasion , perfect to bring interstate or overseas guestsWell be back.

Friendly service nice wines and beautiful views! I went as a part of a wine tour in January and was a lovely first stop.
