Cafe B C - Bancroft

This place had a lot of good reviews, but I differ completely. I ordered the turkey platter and paid extra for white meat. It came with a salad that was fresh. However, the turkey was tasteless and tasted like it was previously frozen and thawed. Speaking of frozen, I think the vegetables (peas, carrots, yellow beans) had been in the freezer about 5 years. They had that "freezer" taste. My friend had the schnitzel, which she said was okay, but nothing special. Save your money and go elsewhere. The staff was friendly, but the food nothing to write home about.

Well, old habits die hard. Last year we stopped here and were very happy with our meals.This year with a kid in tow we stopped by again. And yet again, this local stop blew us away with service, value and - above all - the food. From my wife's burger to my schnitzel and my kids chicken Caesar salad, it was all excellent. We will definitely be stopping in again later this month when we pass through Bancroft again. Already looking forward to it...

This little cafe was very busy for both breakfast and dinner but the food was excellent! Homemade taste to everything and very reasonable prices. Food is in good quantity and service is fast although if busy it can be a bit slower. Lots of locals eat there so you know it must be good!

It was crowded when we arrived, so we had to wait a few minutes.... but the food was very good and came out quickly. Service was great!

What a pleasant surprise for a diner in the middle of our drive to run into this place for lunch. You know it's good when it's busy. Big portion meals, good service. Had the Yager Schnitzel (excuse spelling).Delicious.
