We loved everything about this restaurant! Our only complaint was that our breakfast was served cold, except for the grits. We didn't want to send it back because it seemed like they were busy and may have been short-staffed. Our waitress was cheerful and attentive. The atmosphere was great too!

This restaurant is an excellent choice for comfort food. We dined in the John Wayne room, which was a nice touch. The establishment has been serving customers for 100 years. We ordered the omelette and catfish, both of which were incredibly tasty. The staff members were very friendly and made our experience even more enjoyable.

The food at this restaurant was average at best. The dishes were served warm, but not hot, and the gravy was lacking in flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, although she seemed to forget about us once our meals were brought out. One of our orders was wrong, but we decided not to make a fuss about it. When we finished our meal, we had to stand up and flag down the server to get our bill, which ended up being more expensive than we had anticipated for two people. Additionally, parents should be aware that the men's restroom features framed pictures of scantily clad women, while the women's restroom has images of shirtless men on the walls. The stall doors are also quite short, leaving little privacy while using the facilities.

We had lunch there. My daughter took chicken stripes which was okay. My fried shrimp was not amazing but the french fries are good. Husband took the Supreme burritos, he said it's good. I know this is a historical restaurant, the 2nd oldest in Texas, butfor me nothing was extraordinary. The cowgirl's toilet was quite dirty and the only friendly person was our server.

Great local eatery. Fast service and everyone was really nice. Sat at the John Wayne area with really awesome memorabilia. Food was really good and the pancake was great. Would totally recommend and hope I can come back soon.
