We had an outstanding experience at this restaurant! My husband and I visited and opted for the lunch special. The vegetable soup was flavorful with just the right amount of spice, and we both enjoyed delicious chicken salad sandwiches, which thankfully didn’t have any odd ingredients. To top it off, we indulged in some of their incredible cakes! If you find yourself in Bardstown, this is a place you definitely shouldn’t miss!
We decided to have dinner at Kurtz during a break between two events at My Old Kentucky Home. As soon as we walked in, the aroma of smoked pork filled the air, and I knew I was in for something special. My daughter absolutely loved the pan-roasted chicken, while I was a big fan of the **** (please specify what you meant here). We both enjoyed the cornbread, green beans, and gravy-smothered potatoes. She was thrilled to discover that they offered blackberry cobbler, and I indulged in the chocolate meringue pie, which was the best I've had since my grandmother stopped baking. Our meal at Kurtz was worth the trip from Louisville, and we will definitely be returning, bringing friends along next time. My daughter even mentioned wanting to have her wedding there someday—but being only a high school freshman, that’s still a ways off!
