During a recent summer visit, while on a mission to look at some horses for sale, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to revisit Sergio's and see how it stacks up against my memories. While many associate Chicago with its famous deep-dish pizza (with the exception of Jon Stewart), I must say that their thin crust pizzas are outstanding. The cracker-like crust, generous amounts of real cheese, tasty sausage, and distinctive square cuts all contribute to the experience. I particularly enjoy the 16-inch option, but they also offer larger and smaller sizes, as well as thick crust and stuffed variations. The menu is extensive, featuring a variety of other offerings, including sandwiches, barbecue, pasta, salads, and small bites. Sergio's crust is perfectly flaky, with flavorful sausage pieces that really stand out, and the pizza is topped with exceptionally high-quality cheese. You’ll also notice a notable difference in the tomato sauce; all their sauces are made in-house, and the pizza sauce is rich and bursting with tomato flavor. I've been a fan of Sergio's even before they moved to their current location. Their stuffed pizza is exceptional—I've been hooked since my first bite! I highly recommend trying the special Sergio. Be prepared to wait about 45-50 minutes for takeout (the stuffed pizza takes longer to cook), but if it's busy, it could take up to an hour and a half. Trust me, the wait is definitely worth it! The ingredients are top-notch and incredibly fresh. I used to work at LM during college, and Sergio's blows it out of the water—there's really no comparison. All the staff are friendly, polite, and hardworking. I give them a perfect 6 out of 5 stars!

I discovered Sergio about 20 years ago. This family-run jewel serves the best thin crust pizza I've ever had, no bar. The sauce is a perfect blend of a little sweet and tangie at the same time. After extracting Barrington, I will now drive 30 miles, past numerous other pizza places to repair my pizza.

First time coming to Sergio 's pizza. We dined in tonight. Had the best pasta dinner !! I ordered the Charlotte 's arrabiata pasta dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant!!
