Canberra Club - BARTON

This restaurant used to have great food at a good value. I ordered a Rump Steak, but instead received stacked steaks that were cooked for two minutes. It was not at all what I had ordered and I was very disappointed.

We were close to Barton and went the 500 mtres to the club dinner was easy, but well with a few choices beer and wine inexpensive basic club atmosphere.

For many years I went by when it was closed and asked me how it was. Tonight I was in Canberra when it was open and visited. What a dump. No TAB, the food is closed before 9:00, a few guys chase a lonely woman. Better to renew soon.

I stayed on site and stumbled upon the Canberra Club by chance, and I was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely be visiting again. Even though the menu was limited, it was enough to satisfy me.

I was unaware that this was no longer the RUC. I was in the area for work and decided to stop in and try the schnitzel. The restaurant is still small and relatively quiet. The schnitzel was decent, neither great nor terrible, just average and okay. The staff were helpful, although it was a bit confusing that the same lady checked me in, took my food order, and served my drinks order from three different locations.
