Oriental Chef - Basildon

Always a great buffet! Keep coming back! Come in every couple of weeks with my family. Always happy with the quality of good, service and selection of food. Still the best place to get Chinese around!

First, I must declare myself as an Indian food regular but every now and again I fancy a bit of 'monosodium glutamate ' Tonight, was such a night. Oriental Chef delivered well within the 60 minutes they quoted and was fresh and hot. The crispy chilli beef was actually crispy and not like toffee as so many are. and no MS insight. All in all, I really enjoyed this Chinese food but I will stick to my regular Indian!

Had a delivery last night that came half an hour earlier than told. Fair prices and delicious food. Recommend

After England lost to Croatia in the World Cup tonight I was in need of some comfort so I thought that I'd seek solace in a take away. I had never bought anything from this place before and but the menu that had arrived via the letterbox looked ok so I decided to give it a try. The menu showed that it's open all week except Tuesday but as this was Wednesday I walked down there full of anticipation. According to the letterbox menu the closing time during the week is 10.30pm, I arrived a couple of minutes before 10pm and it was closed with all of the shutters down so I guess I'll never know what the food is like because I won't make the effort to spend my money there again.

Rang up to place an order for a delivery. The girl I spoke to was all huffing and puffing during my ordering and the food cost a fortune there (Quarter Duck nearly £10, although costs £3.50 in grocery shop) and delivery was made literally 10 minutes later, was our dinner really cooked properly and fresh ?? Won’t be going there again for delivery plus getting rid of taking card payment after 1st July 2018, I thought times were supposed to be moving forward with card payments and not cash.
