This ferry is a significant part of Alberta's history and is one of seven river ferries in the province. The ferry had been closed due to severe damage from the 2013 flood, but it reopened for business in late April. This area near Calgary provides a great alternative to the mountains and is worth a visit. Don't forget to check out Blackfoot Crossing if you're in the area.
I was delighted to get home roasted ham and delicious home made bread with a smile for lunch - reasonable prices, quaint bistro setting in Bassano!
Great home-cooked food. The staff are so friendly, it's a delight to eat here! Small-town food at it's finest. A real hidden gem!
I had the Monte Cristo, which was amazing real turkey and ham on the thickest, freshest restaurant bread I've ever had. My wife had the clubhouse and spuds which were delicious as well. PDs is an awesome restaurant run by a really great guy, this place is a hidden gem. Can't wait to come back.
Selected P.D.'s Bistro to accommodate my son's Bantam team while we were attending a tournament in Bassano. P.D. gave us a private function and opened just for us on a Saturday evening. It took some time to get 28 orders out to everyone, but everyone was very happy with their meals and it was worth the wait. Some of the meals that parents had were the Monte Cristo with spuds and gravy, Roast Beef meal, the rainbow trout, chicken cajun stir fry and everyone was pleased and stuffed and prices were very reasonable.Another plus was being able to bring our own wine, because it was a private function. The kids just ordered juices or pop that was available at the restaurant.Very impressed with P.D. and his quaint bistro.
