Food: Very good, although the Yorkshire pudding was from the freezer which is very disappointing, considering the price point of the menu, it’s fairly expensive. (18.95 pork/chicken 20.50 beef The roast potatoes were excellent and I would advise ordering the side of potatoes for an extra go! Service: This is a tricky one, although nothing wrong with the service and everyone being attentive, some very young girls working who looked on edge and not very chatty even when trying to engage with them in conversation. Atmosphere: Quintessential British pub! Dog friendly, alright grub and a decent pint! Locals (I assume! friendly!
Really good Sunday roast and friendly and welcoming service. Dog friendly in the bar and a great choice of beer and lager. Id certainly recommend. A small but varied menu with lots of vegan and vegetarian options
Really good food. Lunchtime specials of a lighter meal and a drink. Great desserts. We were really warmly welcomed and had great service throughout. I’ll definitely be back. For those needing accommodation, they also have a number of rooms.
I popped in for lunch with a friend for lunch a few weeks ago and was so impressed I went for dinner there this evening with my husband. The food was incredible, and it was lovely sitting by the fire. Last time I ate here was years ago and it was terrible.new ownership has certainly turned it around and we will be back soon!
This place was amazing! The breakfast was phenomenal. The staff is one of the best, Jasmine went above and beyond. I will stay here again, it's in the country and it's absolutely beautiful there. The rooms and bed are very comfortable.
