I know this guest house from the past, as we often had family celebrations here. After many years I landed here with friends and was very surprised, in the best sense! The menu is very extensive, although the selection consists mainly of meat dishes (the inn belongs to its own butcher), but nevertheless very versatile and diverse. Also for vegetarians there is much less to fish. I had recommended my friends the dish “On the Alm” (a scavenger with roasted lobes and Camembert baked) and also tried it. definitely belongs to my new favorite dishes of Franconian cuisine! In the host room you sit very comfortable, everything is lovingly decorated and ensures a warm ambience, even if everything is a bit older and you get from the kitchen to the sound level. The service was nice. The restaurant is located near the Hermitage, not directly in the center. Parking is available. I would call the inn as a real insider tip! The visit after all these years was really rewarding.
The secret tip outside the city of Bayreuth, super quality for generations, have already bought there as a child and this is already over 40 years ago...
