Louis Cafe - Bayreuth

Louis Café/bar/restaurant is situated in Ludwigsstrasse near Sternplatz. You can walk here from Bayreuth market square, or from Haus Wahnfried. The castle with so-called Hofgarten is not far away. Today the sky was clouded, the weather was rainy, so I went inside. Otherwise I could have sat down at a table in front of the cafe, in the pedestrian zone. The service was very quick. The portion of pasta might have been a bit bigger, but on the whole it tasted perfectly right. The prices were reasonable. I will probably return to this place sooner or later.

Three of us came here for lunch after a visit to the Neues Schloß nearby and we were so impressed with the food and ambience that we asked for a dinner reservation that evening after the opera. Again, enjoyable food, but on coming to pay, we were told no cards which was odd, because we had paid by card for lunch. We left slightly cross at this rather underhand practice, and it lowers our estimation of what is an otherwise fine cafe. Please sort this, Louis Cafe; we were not impressed.

Food was dissapointing. We had lasagne that where made without lasagne. It was made with maccaroni. And spaghetti bologniese. On this one i have no woord. It was . I think they puted only tomato souse that was made of just a little bith of tomato with some kind of water and they added some meat just for the smell. The woest spaghetti i ever tried. But to light this up, servis was good and they were kind. Service: 3

Nice and clean Italian restaurant, perfect for bar guests or to have a leisurely coffee. You can also eat well here as a group, but you should make a reservation in advance if you want to sit inside. The location is great, the price-performance ratio is okay overall, the food was very good and is always freshly prepared (you can even watch it when you're sitting in the corner). There are seasonal dishes with a current weekly menu and the coffee is perfect. There was no oat or soy milk, but almond milk was offered. Top. I would deduct half a star because of the waiting time and the prices. Otherwise there is nothing negative, the place is very clean, there is Italian background music and there is a certain atmosphere that invites you to linger. Miscellaneous: You can park in the surrounding parking spaces (charges apply) in Bayreuth city center, cobblestones on the surrounding paths, there are vegetarian dishes, unfortunately I can't say whether there are vegan dishes, not particularly suitable for wheelchair users and families with small children, among other things The interior of the restaurant is narrow. It is very pleasant and recommended here for lunch or an evening as a couple or as an individual. Vegetarian options: There is no special labeling for vegetarian dishes, so you have to check for yourself whether a dish is vegetarian or vegan. Since there is pasta, salads, pizzas and more, vegetarians should definitely find something suitable.
