Once you tire of the heat next door, treat yourself to the AC of the Sourdough Saloon. But keep in mind, if it 's the company next door you 're tired of, you 'll find no relief- these are the same caricatures you were drinking with moments earlier! The Sourdough has no beer on tap. Instead, they have 99 bottles of beer on the wall . Pick one and settle in with your paper towel cocktail napkin cause things are sure to get weird? The bar is a big space, packed to the gills with evidence of good times gone by. It 's clearly seen its share of memorable forgotten nights. But sitting at the sad bar, those times seem like a distant, fuzzy memory. The place is filthy, the bartender who smokes in a recliner between making drinks is still waking up, and the half-dead regulars are just depressing in their lust for long-gone good times. Drinking at the Sourdough feels like drinking in an almost ghost town- it 's full of ghosts, just not quite fully dead ones. But hey, they 've got AC, cold cheap beer, and the fries are perfectly acceptable. If that doesn 't do it for you, give the bar dice game a roll. You could win a round or better. And if your luck is truelly running thick, the sleeping bartender may dust off an ancient bottle of Bailey 's Red Velvet and pass it around like bedtime vitamins.
The Place to be in Beatty. Unique Saloon with original and interesting atmosphere.
The bar itself is a nice little place and awesome food but the bartenders aren't that great. Definitely dress provocatively and are all up on the men.
We visit Beatty often because we love to explore Death Valley and we eat here often. This is a great place to get a burger and a beer. Huge beer selection. Funky bar up front, order food in the back. Our waitress on our recent visit was welcoming, the onion rings were perfectly fried.
