Restaurant Carline - Beaune

I just needed a stopover half-way through France on my way to Italy. The usual Logis I stay at wasn’t available so this cropped up at a reasonable price. The hotel was basic but did what was needed but the restaurant far exceeded expectations for the price. The wine was good and fairly priced although it will doubtless age well and improve. It’s around a 15/20 minute walk into the centre so for me a good balance of price, quality and convenience.

This hotel was the most reasonably priced in the category we were looking for and we were not disappointed. It was very quiet and with a double sized mattress had a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was typical and sufficient. It's location on the outskirts of the town made it easy to find the main roads the next morning. Don't expect room service or a fitness room just a quiet night.

Relaxed meal after a long journey. Landed at the hotel at 8 and were sat down by 8.15 for a welcome aperatif. The restaurant serves local specialities. We sat al fresco on a lovely warm summer's evening. For starters my husband chose poached eggs in a lobster, prawn and shallot bisque. I had a white soft cheese in gazpacho. The starters were lovely. The rib of beef, beef fillet main courses were both very good, tender and delicious, but youngest daughter did not enjoy the sauce with her chicken brochettes. She thought it did not go well with the chicken. We were all too full for desserts. Service was good/not rushed, a good thing, we had time to enjoy our meal and relax. The staff were pleasant, professional and polite. Price wasn't cheap but the quality was good. We would go again.

7 Nächte waren wir im Hotel/Restaurant und genossen die Halbpension am Abend. Essen war immer gut. Service war vorbildlich. Hotel kann man immer gerne weiterempfehlen - vom Chef bis zur Rezeption und Küche: alles super! Übrigens auch ein netter Pool, der die fehlende Klimaanlage wieder wett macht!
