We decided to try our luck across the street and were met with a warm welcome at Pierre Luigui's. Despite being very busy, they provided us with a great dinner and could not have been more accommodating.
The service at this restaurant was slow, as we had to ask for drinks and food menus, as well as for our orders to be taken. Despite arriving before others, we were served after them. I opted for the duck with honey roasted vegetables, as there was no vegetarian option available. Unfortunately, the duck was tougher than expected, so I didn't eat much of it. The staff were understanding and removed the cost of the dish from our bill. The desserts were delicious, and the atmosphere was lovely. The neighboring bar was busy and bustling. Overall, it's a great place to visit with friends. Although my meal was disappointing, I would still return to try something else on the menu.
Nice choice but they have split the restaurant so it is now half bar with very loud music and a very different clientele to the restaurant with only 1 set of toilets.
La Rascasse has just had a change of management but they still have the same chef and serving staff, so any concerns we had about the quality of the place were soon dispelled. At less than a tenner for the two course lunch, this restaurant is fantastic value for money, especially since the quality of food is unfailingly good.
